The twin-pump set

The irrigation package included the twin-pump set pictured above, photographed on its concrete base during installation. It was one part of the wider system being delivered across the new holes and existing course. JK Irrigation supported the installation team with specialist parts and technical assistance as the pumping and field equipment came together.

A coordinated course-development project

The overall project was run by Toureen Group. Irritech designed the irrigation system, while 1st Golf Construction built seven new holes and carried out the irrigation installation across the rest of the course.

JK Irrigation worked as the specialist supply and support partner, providing the parts and practical technical assistance needed by the installing contractor and the course team.

Hunter Pilot control and G885 TTS sprinklers

The course irrigation system used Hunter Pilot central control, Hunter Pilot field decoders and Hunter G885 TTS valve-in-head sprinklers. The Pilot PC and hub coordinated the stations over the two-wire control path, with the decoders providing addressable field control. The G885 TTS rotors allow key components to be serviced from the top of the sprinkler body.

JK Irrigation provided specialist equipment and technical assistance, helped coordinate system records and supported the operation-and-maintenance documentation. That information and the on-site training helped the course team take over day-to-day use of the new system.

Grow-in support and on-site training

Newly constructed holes need irrigation support as the playing surfaces establish. JK’s involvement included grow-in assistance and on-site training, helping the team understand and use the system as the course developed.

Specialist support through to handover

Wexham demonstrates JK Irrigation’s role alongside a design consultant, main project team and installing contractor: supplying the right equipment, assisting with the technical work and supporting the people who will operate it.
